What You Don't Know About New ₦100 Note Unveiled in November 2014 (Nigeria's Centenary Celebration)

The new ₦100 note unveiled in November 2014 is the first digital banknote in the world. At the back of the note is a Quick Response Code (QRC) which when scanned shows the President's face and all information about Nigeria's history.

The President Goodluck Jonathan, would on Wednesday unveil the commemorative centenary celebration N100 banknote specially designed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

On the front side of the note are, a public authentication feature, window micro-optics, a raised and embossed line for visually impaired persons.

The note was officially circulated on Friday, December 19, 2014, to commemorate Nigeria's Centenary (100 years) history.
