THE ORIGIN AND UNITY OF IGBO NSUKKA

Identity is a thing of great importance to any indigenous people. Whatever a man will be, to a great extent, is determined by his identity. How proud one is about his identity will determine how others will value him, and any one who becomes fond of denying his identity is directly or indirectly devaluing himself.
Recently, men and women of Igbo Nsukka have been confronted with identity crisis, as some see Nsukka town as overshadowing their own communal identity, while some from Nsukka town indigenes see the unity of Igbo Nsukka Geo-Cultural as denying them their own identity as Ndi Nsukka, thus; making some Igbo Nsukka men and women to attempt to deny their identity as Igbo Nsukka people which makes people to view Igbo Nsukka as inferiors, because only an inferior person will try to deny his identity.
In Nsukka Geo-Cultural Zone, there are descendants of the children and relatives of Asadu Ideke Arumona. These have developed into several communities within and outside Nsukka Local government. When the British were creating districts, Nsukka district was created, including all interrelated communities surrounding Nsukka local government. These communities that were pulled together under Nsukka District became known as IGBO NSUKKA (I.e Nsukka Nations). These Igbo Nsukka communities are currently found in the 6 local governments under Enugu North Senatorial Zone plus ISI-UZO LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
However, politicking has brought about the rising Identity crisis in Igbo Nsukka because outsiders are in the know that the easiest way to effectively shortchange Igbo Nsukka Politically and Economically is to divide us into pieces, because a house divided against itself is already heading to doom.
This is why IGBO NSUKKA UNITED FRONT is making all efforts to bring all of us together because our strength is in our unity and our unity is our only negotiation power. For, if Igbo-Eze North says that they are not Nsukka, and Igbo-Etiti excludes themselves as well, we may never be powerful enough to stand our contemporaries.
Therefore, all men and women of Igbo Nsukka must realize that being an Igbo Nsukka man, does not stop you from being an Adani man, an Ogurute man, an Ekwegbe man, an Iheaka man or an Orba man.
You are an Igbo Nsukka man from Lejja, an Igbo Nsukka man from Opi, an Igbo Nsukka man from Mbu, an Igbo Nsukka man from Orba, etc.
Let's come together and forge a strong, united and unshakable force in the scheme of things and be proud of our Identity as we push for a Greater Igbo Nsukka!

In the 1960s, Nzeribe worked for Kwame Nkrumah as a speechwriter but after the coup that sent Nkrumah and his aides to Conakry, Nzeribe sneaked back to Ghana to work for the new government that had overthrown his principal. In April 1969, Nzeribe was involved in a bribery scandal with Ghana's Head-of-State, Joseph Arthur Ankrah which forced the latter to resign. In 1979, J.J Rawlings deported the Nigerian businessman from Ghana where he found his way to the United Kingdom to continue his arms-dealing business.
