In fact, the French have been holding the reserves of 13 other African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon) since 1961.
