Grant Imahara, who was a trained electrical engineer and roboticist – co-host of MythBusters – has left us at the age of 49. Imahara has also been starred in a variety of other TV shows, including the White Rabbit Project on Netflix. As per a report, Imahara passed away because of a brain aneurysm.

Discovery, TV company that hosted MythBusters from 2003 to 2016 said, ‘We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.’
After he left MythBusters back in 2014, he and his co-hosts Kari Byron and Tory Belleci were reunited in 2016 to work on the White Rabbit Project. Imahara, before he ended up on the screen with MythBusters on the show’s third season, was working as an engineer at Lucasfilm’s THX and ILM divisions. He was also famous for being a robot enthusiast and was a regular appearance on BattelBots during the early 200s with his own robot that was named Deadblow. He ended up being a judge on the show as well.
Imahara also hosted Home of the Future – a web series that was pioneered by the Verge and Curbed. He is going to be sorely missed, and his co-workers and friends are in shock over his sudden demise. Former MythBusters co-host Adam Savage tweeted, ‘I’m at a loss. No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist, and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend.’
