Sir Kitoye Ajasa (1866–1937) was a Nigerian lawyer and legislator during the colonial era. He was also the first Nigerian to be knighted when he was made a knight in the 1928 Birthday Honours of King George V of England.
Ajasa worked closely with the colonial authorities and thought that progress would only be possible if Africans adopted European ideas and institutions.
He was also one of the leaders of the People's Union, the first political movement in Nigeria, and was the founder of the conservative newspaper, the Nigerian Pioneer - the first newspaper owned by a Nigerian.
