The court filing has already gone viral on Russia’s internet. The plaintiff alleges in the court filing that he has become ‘mired in a same-sex relationship’ once he received a wrong sort of cryptocurrency on a virtual wallet app that he had installed on his iPhone in 2017.
The man has been identified as D. Razumilov and claims that he received 69 GayCoins from an anonymous sender. The GayCoins is a cryptocurrency that has been designed for the members of the LGBT community. This particular mysterious transfer came with a message that said, ‘don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.’ It made sense to Razumilov, and he ended getting involved in a gay relationship.

D. Razumilov wrote in his official complaint, ‘I thought, indeed, how can I judge something without trying it? And decided to try same-sex relationships. I can say after the passage of two months that I’m mired in intimacy with a member of my own sex and can’t get out. I have a steady boyfriend, and I don’t know how to explain it to my parents. After receiving the aforementioned message, my life has changed for the worse and will never be normal again. Apple pushed me towards homosexuality through manipulation. The changes have caused me moral and mental harm.’

Razumilov’s layer is Spizhat Gusnieve, and she has told the members of the Russian press that the lawsuit is quite serious. She said that her client has suffered because of Apple’s failure to act on the matter. Gusnieva says that even though the message was received via a third-party app, Apple does bear some responsibility for the services that are being run on its platform.
Moscow’s Presnensky District Court registered Razumilov’s lawsuit last Wednesday, and hearing will take place on 17th October.
