Today marks 20 years since the death of Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere. Mwalimu was anti-colonialist activist, teacher, Panafricanist and African Socialism Thinker, Statesman, Nation builder who served as Prime Minister and President of Tanganyika and later as President of Tanzania following a union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar. He is considered as the Founding Father -Baba Ya Taifa-of the Tanzanian nation.
